Area Sales Manager (ASM)

🎯 Key Responsibilities

-Drive primary and secondary sales targets across the assigned geography

-Appoint, manage, and develop distributors and channel partners

-Ensure effective market coverage, outlet expansion, and visibility execution

-Monitor stock levels, liquidation, and distributor ROI

-Lead, mentor, and monitor Sales Officers / Territory Sales Executives

-Track sales performance, prepare MIS reports, and review KPIs regularly

-Execute trade schemes, promotional activities, and local marketing initiatives

-Conduct regular market visits to gather competitor insights and customer feedback

-Ensure timely collections and adherence to company policies

✅ Required Skills & Experience

– 6–10 years of experience in FMCG / Retail / Consumer Goods sales

-Strong experience in distributor handling and territory management

-Proven track record of achieving sales targets

-Good analytical skills with ability to interpret sales data

-Strong leadership and team management capabilities

-Excellent communication and negotiation skills

-Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting tools

-Experience in handling large territories or high-volume SKUs

-Exposure to rural and urban market dynamics

-Stability in previous roles with consistent performance growth
