Audit & Statutory Compliance<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Manage and support internal, statutory, and transfer pricing audits<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory requirements<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Accounting Systems & Process Optimization<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Utilize enterprise accounting systems for shipping and financial accounting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Drive process improvements, system optimization, and adoption of digital tools<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in accounting workflows<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shipping Agency Accounting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Review and reconcile shipping agency transactions and Statements of Account (SOA)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Ensure accurate accounting of shipping-related revenues, costs, and settlements<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Maintain strong controls over agency accounting and reconciliations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Remittance & Stakeholder Coordination<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Handle remittance-related queries and resolutions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Coordinate with banks and internal stakeholders for timely closures<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Ensure clear communication and documentation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Financial Review & Controls<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Conduct periodic reviews of books of accounts<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Identify discrepancies, risks, or anomalies and initiate corrective actions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Strengthen internal controls to ensure data integrity and compliance<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Review of Financials & Agreements<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Vet financial statements, reports, and statutory filings<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Review agreements and contracts for financial and compliance accuracy<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Team Leadership<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Drive performance, accountability, and continuous process improvement<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Foster a collaborative and compliance-focused work culture<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Required Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83c\udf93 Education : Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance<\/p>\n\n\n\n
(M.Com \/ MBA \u2013 Finance preferred)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83e\uddd1\u200d\ud83d\udcbc Experience :8\u201310 years of progressive experience in Accounting & Finance<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Prior exposure to Shipping \/ Logistics \/ Maritime industries preferred<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Experience with shipping agency accounting and international finance practices<\/p>\n\n\n\n
