We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer<\/strong> and Independent Contributor<\/strong> for Network Controller Device Driver Development. This role is a critical part of building robust and high-performance communication infrastructures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
Device Driver Development:<\/strong> Design, code, and debug device drivers for network controller hardware on operating systems like Linux and FreeBSD using C.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Performance Optimization:<\/strong> Analyze and improve driver efficiency, throughput, and latency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Troubleshooting:<\/strong> Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues using advanced debugging tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Security & Compliance:<\/strong> Integrate security practices into driver design and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE 802.3, PCIe).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Documentation:<\/strong> Create detailed technical documentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Collaboration:<\/strong> Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and share knowledge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

Skills & Expertise:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
Low-Level Programming:<\/strong> Mastery of C with a deep understanding of memory management and concurrency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Operating System Internals:<\/strong> Strong knowledge of OS kernel architecture and device driver models (Linux kernel modules).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Networking Protocols:<\/strong> Familiarity with TCP\/IP, Ethernet, and specialized protocols like RDMA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Hardware Interface:<\/strong> Experience with PCIe, DMA, and interrupt controllers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Tools:<\/strong> Proficiency in GDB, Wireshark, and system profilers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Version Control:<\/strong> Expertise with Git and build systems (e.g., Make, CMake).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Communication:<\/strong> Strong written and verbal skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

Desirable Qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experience contributing to open-source device drivers or kernels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
