Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering Leadership
-Lead end-to-end design and engineering activities across projects.
-Ensure timely release and review of all designs and detailed drawings.
-Ensure designs comply with applicable fire safety codes, standards, and regulations.
-Provide technical guidance to project and site teams during execution.
-Review installations and commissioning activities to ensure alignment with approved designs.
-Ensure accurate preparation, maintenance, and handover of design documents and reports.
-Drive preparation of as-built drawings for timely project closure.
-Support pre-sales activities with technical inputs and design validations.
-Optimize project costs through design efficiency, line balancing, and value engineering.
Process Improvement & Strategy
-Strengthen design processes to improve material planning and reduce lead time.
-Collaborate with supply chain teams for effective project planning.
-Develop short-term and long-term design strategies aligned with business objectives.
-Support annual planning and forecasting through trend analysis and technology assessment.
-Ensure design plans align with project execution plans through regular reviews.
-Drive SOP creation, documentation standards, and quality control measures.
-Reduce rework, wastage, and poor quality through structured reviews and audits.
Team & Stakeholder Management
-Lead recruitment planning for the design function in coordination with HR.
-Define roles, responsibilities, KPIs, and performance expectations for team members.
-Conduct regular design reviews and weekly progress meetings.
-Mentor and develop the design team through structured training programs.
-Ensure smooth coordination with vendors, consultants, and clients.
-Handle internal escalations related to design documentation and technical issues.
MIS & Reporting
-Maintain design trackers and MIS for all active projects.
-Prepare system-wise guidelines, best practices, and technical checklists.
-Ensure complete design compliance across all deliverables.
Required Skills & Expertise
-Strong expertise in Fire Protection Systems and MEP coordination.
-Hands-on experience with BIM Modeling and Revit.
-In-depth knowledge of systems such as sprinklers, hydrants, and related fire safety products.
-Strong understanding of compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
-Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
-Ability to manage multiple projects with a focus on quality, cost, and timelines
