Role Summary

The Tender / Estimation Engineer will be responsible for analyzing project costs, preparing winning bids, and developing pricing strategies for tenders. The role demands technical insight, market awareness, and precision in rate analysis to ensure competitiveness and profitability.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic (Approx. 20%)

  • Prepare and quote tender-winning rates in coordination with management.
  • Derive effective bid-winning strategies through market insights and data-driven analysis.
  • Conduct competitor rate analysis and track market trends to refine pricing decisions.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and study tender requirements in detail.
  • Visit project sites, meet clients, architects, or consultants for better rate understanding.

Implementation (Approx. 75%)

  • Perform detailed rate analysis for all tender items and BOQ elements.
  • Collect and evaluate vendor quotations for materials and labour.
  • Prepare detailed statistical comparisons of competitors’ pricing.
  • Standardize rate analysis formats and documentation.
  • Ensure timely submission of tenders with complete documentation.
  • Train and support the tendering team to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Managerial / Coordination (Approx. 5%)

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate and competitive rates.
  • Maintain strong communication and follow-up with suppliers for best quotes.
  • Engage in multi-tasking to support related project and estimation activities.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

🎓 Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering / Interior Design / Architecture
🧩 Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in Tendering / Estimation within construction, infrastructure, or real estate projects
