Role Summary
The Assistant General Manager (Interiors) will be responsible for the overall execution, profitability, and business growth of the company’s interior projects.
This leadership role involves strategic planning, project management, client engagement, and team leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with at least 15% profit margin while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic (Approx. 25%)
- Define the strategic direction and priorities for project execution and company performance.
- Collaborate with the Board and Management to set organizational goals, budgets, and growth objectives.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews to assess project outcomes, profitability, and ROI.
- Develop integrated business plans to optimize market share, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Instill the company’s core purpose and values across teams through effective leadership and motivation.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring timely completion with minimum 15% profit.
Implementation (Approx. 50%)
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors for smooth project execution.
- Oversee the planning, staffing, and execution of all interior projects to ensure quality, timeline, and cost compliance.
- Ensure timely client billing and payment collection across projects.
- Review and approve extra items/variations, ensuring client buy-in and profitability.
- Ensure availability and engagement of qualified sub-contractors at standardized rates.
- Represent the company at key forums and act as its public relations officer with clients and government bodies.
- Build internal leadership capacity by identifying and developing potential leaders.
Managerial (Approx. 20%)
- Review project results against objectives and initiate corrective actions as required.
- Maintain a clear communication structure across teams, defining roles and accountabilities.
- Evaluate team performance and implement training and improvement plans.
- Foster an effective organizational culture encouraging collaboration and innovation.
- Oversee tender rate finalization and approval for new projects.
Other Responsibilities (Approx. 5%)
- Ensure robust internal controls via regular MIS reviews and checkpoints.
- Handle multi-project management with agility and precision.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
🎓 Education: Postgraduate in Civil Engineering / Architecture
💼 Experience: Minimum 7 years in a senior managerial or leadership role, preferably in Interiors / Construction / Real Estate
