Job Brief
We are seeking a Senior Architect with 10–16 years of experience in commercial and mixed-use projects. The role requires expertise in planning, designing, and managing construction documentation, while coordinating with consultants, clients, site teams, and PMCs. The candidate should be capable of mentoring and leading a team, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with project requirements. The goal is to deliver sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Development & Management
- Interpret client requirements and prepare feasibility reports & design proposals.
- Develop innovative design concepts considering usage, sustainability, and architectural trends.
- Coordinate with 3D teams for visualizations and aesthetics.
- Select materials aligned with client preferences and project themes; prepare material boards for presentations.
2. Drawing Management
- Oversee drawing deliverables from schematic to working stages.
- Ensure adherence to building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Lead a team of 4–5 architects/technicians to achieve timely and quality outputs.
3. Consultant & Vendor Coordination
- Work with structural and service consultants for design development and execution.
- Collaborate with vendors for material selection and approvals.
4. Client & Site Coordination
- Liaise with project managers to ensure design deliverables align with site requirements.
- Conduct periodic site visits to monitor project progress and report status.
Personal Specification
Qualification:
- Essential: B.Arch or equivalent (5-year degree)
- Desirable: Master’s in Construction/Project Management, Urban Design, or Landscape Architecture
Skills:
- Essential: AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, MS Office
- Desirable: Revit, Photoshop
Experience:
- 10–16 years with an Architectural Consultancy (Commercial/Mixed-Use Projects)
- Minimum 6 years in leadership roles, handling at least 2+ team members
- Completed at least one project of 300,000+ sq. ft. from concept to completion
- Desirable: Experience in commercial buildings, shopping centres, hospitality, or healthcare projects
