Role Overview:

Responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) project in Kalimpong while being primarily based in Kolkata. This role requires strong leadership in project planning, stakeholder coordination, quality assurance, and cost control to ensure timely and successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead overall project execution, budgeting, resource allocation, and adherence to timelines.
  • Define and implement the execution strategy aligned with contractual and company goals.
  • Act as the key link between the head office, site team, and external stakeholders.

2. Planning, Monitoring & Controls

  • Approve and oversee master/micro-level project schedules.
  • Validate planning, billing, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Ensure proactive tracking of progress, identifying delays and initiating corrective actions.

3. Financial Oversight

  • Monitor execution within approved budgets and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Approve subcontractor and vendor bills; oversee client billing and payment follow-ups.
  • Analyze project financials including cash flows and cost reports.

4. Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Maintain strong working relationships with government bodies, clients, and consultants.
  • Participate in client review meetings and ensure resolution of issues.
  • Ensure full compliance with contractual, legal, and statutory norms.

5. Resource & Team Management

  • Ensure timely deployment and optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional site teams across execution, billing, planning, safety, and quality.

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce quality standards and safety protocols at every stage.
  • Drive compliance with ISO standards, environmental guidelines, and audit requirements.

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Review and approve reports such as DPR, MIS, billing summaries, and performance trackers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including contractual correspondence.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
  • Certifications: PMP or equivalent (preferred)
  • Tools: Primavera, MS Project
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder handling
    • Expertise in contract management and financial control
    • Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation skills
    • Experience in public sector infrastructure projects (preferred)
