🔹 Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced API Architect with hands-on expertise in Kong and IBM DataPower, along with AWS and Kubernetes exposure. The ideal candidate will lead the architecture and migration of APIs, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient API solutions.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based API solutions
- Migrate APIs from IBM DataPower to Kong
- Develop scalable, secure, and highly available API architectures
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Lead development teams and ensure adherence to best practices
- Oversee integration and ensure performance optimization
- Stay updated with cloud and API management advancements
🔹 Must-Have Skills:
- 12+ years of experience in API architecture/design
- Strong expertise in Kong and IBM DataPower (both mandatory)
- Proven experience in AWS Cloud & Kubernetes deployments
- Deep understanding of API design standards and security protocols (OAuth, OpenID)
- Experience with migration from IBM DataPower to Kong
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools: JUnit, Sonarqube, Jenkins, Maven, Cloud Build, etc.
- Knowledge of estimation techniques: Use Case Point, Function Point, Story Point
- Preferred: AWS Certified Architect / Published whitepapers or blogs
