🔹 Role Overview:

The Fabric Sourcing Manager/Deputy Manager will lead end‑to‑end fabric procurement and vendor management for garment and home‑textile manufacturing. You’ll develop strategic sourcing plans, negotiate with mills and converters, ensure quality and delivery timelines, and collaborate with design and production teams to align material selection with product needs.


🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management:
    • Identify, audit, and onboard domestic & international fabric suppliers.
    • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and contract terms to optimize cost and supply reliability.
    • Develop a preferred vendor list and drive performance through KPIs (quality, delivery, compliance).
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Define and enforce fabric quality standards through lab dips, strike‑offs, and technical data sheets.
    • Coordinate fabric testing and ensure regulatory compliance (OEKO‑Tex, REACH, GOTS, etc.).
    • Resolve quality issues and manage corrective action with vendors.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
    • Work with design teams on trend research, fabric selection, and cost modeling.
    • Align sourcing decisions with production schedules and inventory planning.
    • Liaise with production, logistics, and merchandising to ensure seamless material flow.
  • Cost Optimization & Risk Management:
    • Monitor market trends and raw‑material price movements to adapt sourcing strategies.
    • Implement risk‑mitigation plans for supply‑chain disruptions.
    • Drive continuous cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Process & Systems:
    • Maintain accurate sourcing records in ERP or PLM systems.
    • Generate regular MIS reports on spend, vendor performance, and inventory status.
    • Standardize procurement workflows and update SOPs.

🔹 Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Deep knowledge of woven, knit, and technical fabrics; experience in digital printing a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Proven track record in managing complex global supply chains.
  • Proficiency with sourcing tools, ERP/PLM software, and MS Excel for data analysis.
