Job Summary:
Looking for a detail-oriented Component Lifecycle Engineer to manage the lifecycle data of electronic components, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely updates across systems. You’ll be responsible for supporting internal teams with component insights, obsolescence updates, and supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and maintain lifecycle data of electronic components from suppliers.
- Update internal systems with accurate lifecycle status and change notifications.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams regarding part changes.
- Evaluate part change requests to avoid duplications.
- Highlight technology trends and obsolescence risks to relevant teams.
- Analyze specifications across suppliers to flag interchangeability limitations.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve specification issues.
- Ensure data consistency and accuracy across categories.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to validate part data and resolve discrepancies.
- Identify and report data integrity issues within component databases.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- 2+ years in component engineering, materials engineering, or electronics manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components.
- Experience with BOM, compliance standards (RoHS/REACH), and lifecycle analysis.
- Exposure to AI, ML, or RPA tools is a plus.
